The Role
As a founding research scientist at Flick, you’ll help shape the future of generative media and AI-native filmmaking.
We’re looking for someone who can train and adapt generative models, while also having strong creative taste and intuition around cinematic visuals, storytelling, motion, and aesthetics.
This role sits at the intersection of research, engineering, and art.
You’ll work directly with founders, and filmmakers to develop the next generation of creative AI systems — starting from image models and eventually expanding into video generation.
What you’ll do
Train and adapt generative image models for cinematic and creative workflows
Explore controllable image/video generation systems and improve model quality and aesthetics
Work closely with filmmakers and product teams to bring research into real creative tools
Requirements
Strong background in deep learning and generative models
Experience training or fine-tuning diffusion, transformer, or related generative systems
Strong visual taste and intuition for cinematic imagery and storytelling
Strong engineering skills, product intuition, and startup mindset
Can actually make things work!
