As our Security Engineering Lead, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining the security foundation that our customers trust. In the highly regulated financial services industry, security isn't just a feature—it's fundamental to everything we do. You'll have the opportunity to architect security systems from the ground up, lead our SOC 2 and compliance initiatives, and build a world-class security team as we scale.
This is a full-time on-site role as a Security Engineering Lead at Greenboard, located in NYC.

Qualifications
7+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior IC role
Proven track record of managing SOC 2 audits and security compliance certifications (bonus for ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or financial services-specific certifications)
Strong hands-on technical skills with the ability to identify and remediate vulnerabilities across code, infrastructure, and network layers
Experience coordinating and managing penetration tests with third-party vendors
Deep understanding of common vulnerability classes (OWASP Top 10, CWEs) and modern attack vectors
Proficiency with security tools and practices: SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, threat modeling, incident response
Experience with cloud security in AWS and infrastructure-as-code security
Track record of building security culture and processes
Bonus: Experience in fintech or other highly regulated industries
Bonus: Experience hiring and managing security teams
